The Chinese people will succeed, of this I have no doubt. China is a brilliant, scientifically, emotionally and artistically-precocious country, as the world well knows. The Second World Cultural Forum, profiled here through my own deeply personal reflections, is but an attenuated echo of what might well rank as one of the most important ecological and world-consciousness collective efforts at heartfelt collaboration ever advanced by any aggregate of earnest and well-intended participants. The organizers of the Taihu Conference were generous of heart, spirit, brilliance and design. Let us all hope that global consciousness, science and technology will work to benefit all nations - through the seminal message of Ecological Civilization advanced by this groundbreaking event.
